page for a fee of $9.00 per quarter. Non-members may also post
web site links on the Middle Tennessee STC website employment
page for a fee of $12.00 per quarter. The submission will remain
posted for 3 months from the submission date unless a request
is sent to the webmaster to have it removed. Fees are not refunded
and are not prorated if the resume is removed prior to expiration.
Postings may be extended by purchasing additional 3 month increments
at a cost of $9.00 for resumes or email links and $12.00 for web
site links.
Renewal fees are assessed to the submitter every 3 months, 15
days prior to expiration. Submissions will be removed 15 days
after the expiration date if renewal fees are not paid in full.

TEKsystems is looking for a technical writing
to work with one of our clients in Nashville, TN.
The technical writer is responsible for producing a Quick Reference
Guide and a comprehensive User manual (based on online help content)
and assisting the Training team in the production of training
materials and online help.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain Word templates for training materials and user documentation.
-Develop the content for the Quick Reference Guide and User Manual
primarily form content current in online help topics.
-Prepare documents for delivery in print and electronic formats
-Edit help topics to confirm to the information model and style
guide for the project.
-Validate the accuracy of online help topics and training materials.
-Edit online help topics and training materials for consistency,
according to the Style Guide.
-Report status regularly to the Lead Instructional Designer and
to the VIP Training Manager.
Required skills:
-Bachelors degree in English, Journalism or Technical Communications
preferred.
-Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
-Experienced producing large documents with MS word.
-Familiar with RoboHelp or other help authoring tool.
-Familiar with the software development life cycle process.
Required Experience:
-Minimum of 3 years experience developing Word templates.
-Minimum of 3 years experience designing, writing, and editing
user documentation.
-Experience working with a variety of subject-matter experts,
including business analysts, system developers, system testers,
and database administrators.
