Single-sourcing & XML

Rob Frankland, of Rascal Software, gave a presentation linking single-sourcing and XML to a new help authoring tool his firm is developing.

Frankland, a 20-year information industry veteran, said his group surveyed technical writers to determine the strengths and weaknesses of existing help authoring tools.

The new Rascal software will be able to use a single set of help files to generate online and print documentation customized for different audiences.
