September 1997 Meeting: Gerst Haus Mixer

About fifteen of us got together for the Middle Tennessee chapter's kickoff meeting at the Gerst Haus in East Nashville. The first meeting has traditionally been a time to meet and greet and share stories about STC, and this one was no exception.

We passed around copies of the September newsletter (thanks Jim!) and told the several nonmembers present what membership in STC has done for us. And even though the Gerst Haus serves up its draft beer in steins as big as goldfish bowls, lots of networking and planning for the 1997-98 year took place.

The STC officers have held one planning meeting since this meeting, and another one is planned for Tuesday, December 9. Our November meeting is set for November 11; that meeting will be a panel discussion on project management, with Mary Helen Clarke leading that session.
