June 2002 - Backyard barbecue, year-end celebration

Lip-smacking goodies, kudos, and a brief hiatus

Chapter President Rita Johnson welcomed about 20 members and guests to her Mount Juliet home June 11 for the final meeting of the year, a meeting during which she dished out kudos to volunteers for the past year's work and then dished out grilled chicken and fixings so fine that there were quick calls to hold all future meetings in her backyard.

The meeting also saw the introduction of George Cassidy as incoming newsletter editor and Jonathan Meadows as the chapter's incoming secretary. Pat Cosky is moving from Events Coordinator to VP/Publicity and she and Jonathan will serve on the events planning committee.
